An empowering photo experience 

NATASHA Graphic Design Manager

Natasha first came to The Portrait Boutique Cardiff 3 years ago for her bridal boudoir session and we created a beautiful album to gift to her new husband. Now Natasha is married with a new home and new job, so to celebrate this exciting time in her life she came back to the studio to create some images that could be hung on her walls as artwork. 

We put together an inspiration board specifically to create a stunning piece of wall art. We had a Hollywood glam - think Elizabeth Taylor with a 60's vibe. The hair and makeup  looks were created by my very talented makeup artist, Joanne Yates and hairstylist Rachel Starr. Scroll down for some (cute) behind the scenes images.

This was the first portrait photo session in our brand new Cardiff Bay Studio at the Casablanca building in Mount Stuart square.  Our brief was to shoot a fashion inspired session showing her as feminine, sexy and powerful. Part of the fun of a photo session is that you can try different looks and express the different sides of your personality that make you unique. Every woman who steps in front of my lens says the same thing, that they find this experience really empowering and confidence boosting. 

Most of us have a vague idea of what Boudoir photography is and thats probably based on images from 20 years ago. Boudoir has thankfully moved on since then and todays' modern women want to express their sensuality and sexuality in a way that is all about them and how they feel. A chance to celebrate your own beauty and uniqueness.
